Adblue - can this be right ?

I intend to add Wynn's Christal clean and protect to the adblue. I have a California T6.1 Ocean 2023.

As I understood, the Adblue tank has a content of about 22liter, so I can add about 220-250ml of Wynn's and then fill it, since there's no Wynn's in it now.

BUT: I don't even remember when I filled up Adblue for the last time (my van now has about 53.000km); I remember it was slooooowwww to fill at the filling station, and that must be at least a year and 10.000km ago (I'm guesstimating here).
But when checking today the range left, it says exactly 25.000km to go ...
Can that be right ? I'm suspicious because:
1) it seems a lot
2) it such a nice round figure ...

I can of course just add 220ml and top it off, but I have my doubts about that range indication .. Any ideas ?

Add blue range is calculated by The ECU.
It monitors various sensors and driving style , load on the engine, DPF regeneration etc etc. The ECU adjusts the remaining range accordingly based on its calculations.
The range tends to drop in 100 mile increments.
Sometimes the range will hold for a period of time.
You have answered your own question with regard to the amount of additives. (Given an unknown existing quantity of Ad blue)

Keep a record of the ad blue range and note its usage after a Regen ! It’ll probably drop by 100 miles shortly after completing a regen

Even so: I've read the T6.1 would use about 1 to 2 liters per 1.000km of Adblue. Since the tank holds max. 22 liters, how can the range left ever be 25.000km ?? And then I don't take into account that I've driven at least 10.000km since the last fill (I really don't remember when that was, but not this year ..).

Since it will go to a garage anyway this week to have a mirror repaired, I'll ask them to check this too.

A garage should be able to read any fault codes if any are evident.

If you have concerns, It is possible to check each component in the Ad blue system, pump , injector, tank level etc and check the physical dosing is correct via the injector.

IIRC mine showed 16000 miles (so roughly 25k km rounded up) for ages before then slowly ticking down, so 25k km is probably the max it can show and it may take a while to drop to that figure if full. Got to be honest, you’re worrying too much imho. And personally I don’t think you need any kind of additive, the problems with the adblue system seem to be from overfilling causing it not to register rather than any crystallisation etc. But if it makes you happy….

We use Wynns when we refill with Adblue, never had any problem at all in two vans and nine years of ownership.

Sure, as long as you’re out of warranty. If not, I really wouldn’t.

I see your point, but since the van is from 2023, it's out of warranty; as a side note, I'm still a bit surprised seeing some japanese or korean cars have 7 years of warranty, and, as far as I know, most european cars only 2 years ..

There may be no EU car manufacturers soon to offer two year warranty.
The point above about disparity and cost vs the new kids on the block is a good example why the Dinosaurs are in Extinction phase.
