In case anyone cares, this seems pretty reasonable:

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better…

They don’t call me Adblu Stu for nothing!
I’m just kidding, no one calls me that.

It's been £9.99 at B&M for 10 litres for at least the past 6 months.
Regardless I can't see what the fuss is about when we are talking pennies whilst bracing for huge increases in diesel costs.
Just saying :thumb

Sorry - I’m a bit out of touch I think, I remember about a year ago lots of places seemed to be asking around £20 for 10L. Prices have obvs dropped a lot.

B&Q and LIDL have never charged above a tenner for 10L, to my knowledge

I tend to use a service station as the HGV pumps normally have Adblue pumps as well. Whilst it costs more than the stuff from Costco there is less mess and I don’t have any left over to store.

From the conversation I had with independent garage... Ad Blu - you get what you pay for. I like the idea of filling up at the forecourt... in terms of not having to store it and it's not been sitting around for any length of time....

The Carlube branded AdBlue I bought from B&Q a couple of weeks ago had a manufactured date of 26/1/26 on it and claimed to be to ISO22241.

Other than looking for a production date and checking that the AdBlue is made to the ISO22241 standard, I'm not sure how you could tell if one brand of AdBlue was any better than the next.
I'm not doubting the comment from your Indie, but It would be interesting to understand the reasons behind the comment.

I think it degrades if stored in direct sunlight, so perhaps not wise to buy containers that have been sat outside on a forecourt for any length of time.

The cheapest fuel station pumped AdBlue I could find locally was £1.85 a litre, so 85% more expensive per litre than the 10 litre drums from B&Q.

Agree that there is less chance of mess when filling via a pump and you would hope that fuel station AdBlue is reasonably fresh. But unlike checking the date on shop bought AdBlue, you presumably have no idea of how old the AdBlue is in the fuel station tank.
