So I've just purchased my new drive away awning and footprint and will be setting it up next weekend on our first trip away in the cali. My question is to you where do I place the footprint. Does it go right up next to the cali or do you set it back a bit, say a metre or so away. All the videos you see online don't show them using a footprint. Is there part or the attachment tunnel bit that covers that ground outside the van first then you put the footprint down? confusing really as I thought you laid the footprint out first then tent on top so I can't be getting the awning out first to see whats needed.
