2024 Cali Pax window and mirror inop!

Hi, I have 2024 California Ocean, the passenger door Window and folding mirror won’t work and mirror is folded so dangerous to drive. Can’t find fuse to check as VW don’t give any fuse location diagrams. Wondering if anyone has any ideas?

You’ll still be covered by the free VW Assistance (AA) if the van is 2024. If you can’t fix it yourself, give them a call and they’ll either fix it or tow it to the dealer.

I can’t seem to find the diagrams relevant to my car. Ridiculous that VW can’t standardise them and put labels on the panels like other manufacturers.

The position of the Fusebox and Fuse value have not changed over the years on the Transporter range just the actual position of the fuse within the box can vary depending on Options fitted.

You can manually put the mirror in the unfolded position. Give it a good push.

I personally wouldn’t do more than giving it a gentle nudge to help a struggling motor. Forcing open a power folding mirror by hand sounds like it could do more damage than it solves. Given that the van is still under both warranty (free repair) and VW Assistance (free towing), it doesn’t sound worth it to me.

They’re designed to be moved manually as well as by motor in case the mirror is knocked accidentally by, for example, another vehicle or by hitting a static object. No harm will come to it.
