18” Tyre size recommendations

Hi all
I am looking at buying some genuine VW accessory alloys for my T6.1. The advertised tyre size to use with the wheels is 235/50 R18, yet as standard the Cali comes with 255/45 R18 tyres. Does anyone have any experience of one vs the other? I am tempted to fit the slightly wider (standard) Cali size.

Load capacity...235 are typically max 101, whilst the 3080kg chassis needs 103, hence you need the 255/45

Thanks interesting that I saw on Facebook that a Cali owner had similar wheels fitted by VW Breeze Poole with the 235 tyres

Yep on paper it should be fine, but its below the manufacturer's, hence the 103....interesting on the 235
