12v sockets

This is an odd one. I have a 24 Cali Ocean but have noticed that the 12v socket which I think should be on the dash board just under the windscreen on the drivers side is blanked off with a plain black plastic cap. Am I right in thinking there should be a 12v socket at this location or am I mistaken? Was there a change to the 6.1 Cali specification? I am going to ask the main dealer who sold me the Cali but I was hoping that someone on the Forum might have some idea on this one. Thanks.

My 6.1 is the same, just one dash socket next to gear stick.

Thanks for reply. It’s odd isn’t it? California Chris makes reference to the existence of a socket in this position on 6.1 Calli Oceans yet it appears it is not there but just rather untidily blanked off. I will ask the VW main dealer and if I get an answer I will update this post.

I have a 23 Ocean which does have the socket.

I have a 22 coast which has it. I wonder if its an “option” when buying new?
