Yes and no, we had noticed that it had sagged a little - at the back mainly, possibly by about an inch. Given we were leaving the next day we thought it best to just leave it and deal with it on packing up.

I cleared as much snow as possible before lowering and then prayed it went down ok. We were a bit dismayed to see the top of the roof had buckled down under the weight, and then very relieved to see it pop back up as it was cleared. We waited until the next stop before trying to raise the roof again (to get us out of the mountains and into somewhere more likely to be able to get help if a problem) - everything appears to be fine though. Very lucky and very impressed.

That's 3 winter alps trips now and I've been really impressed with just how capable and comfortable our little van is. Though I might lower the roof next time if that level of snow is forecast!

Old Hartley CAMC site on the NE coast - thanks to forum members for recommending this one, great base for a visit to Newcastle and one of the loveliest views from any site

Great couple of nights at Ship and Anchor campsite, Ford in West Sussex.
Pub on site built in 1664. Minutes from station and one stop to Arundel.

All the electric pitches were booked so we were ‘off grid’. Just 3 vans on our side of site. Big Dub Sussex weekend on the electric pitches. Loads of great vans to admire and a good few chats on dog bathroom walks. Super quiet apart from storm Dave blowing in about 1am.
