Hi Chaps. The diesel heater in my Cali Ocean T6.1 MY2020, switches itself off during the night. I set it to level 4 and to heat continuously in the evening and before going to sleep and it behaves normally. It comes on and goes off a couple of times as the thermostat kicks in, but in the early hours eg 5am, the heater is off.
I’m on EHU and the tank is 3/4 full.
Any ideas as to what’s going on would be much appreciated. TIA

Just make sure you have pressed the 'heat continuously" button. I've often pressed the 'heat immediately' by accident only for it to go off 3 hours later. Also worth checking the settings to make sure the heater is not set to some weird departure times setting in which you can turn it on and off automatically.

Search a bazillion similar threads. The heater is basically a PITA.
If you want it to stay on, set it to at least 8 or crack the drivers window open so it can get some colder air into the intake.

Does the small heater icon on the control panel go off when the you believe the heater has gone off, or is it just not pushing out any heat?

The heater icon was off at the panel

Is it happening on a frequent basis, or just a one off?

It may not be significant, but have you been on an EHU every time it fails?
If so, it might be worth trying it overnight without the EHU.

What state of charge are the auxiliary batteries showing at the point when the heating has switched itself off?

I'm just wondering if the system is sensing a low or abnormal voltage and is shutting down the heater as a result.

Same happened to me, really annoying.

When I got home I tested it on level 3, forgot about it and the van was toasty warm the following day.

Perhaps level 4 was just unlucky?

The voltage of the batteries is 12.89
