We have a tabletop Cadac and we would like to use this alongside the California hob. What is the best solution for the gas supply for the Cadac. Do we need 2 cylinders?
Thank you.
I thought you could only use canisters on the Cadac HP variant?I use these cannisters to power one.
You can also get connectors so that you can use the cans as an alternative to the Camping Gaz for backup.
I’ve got a Cadac LP. Couldn’t justify carrying the big bottle as we don’t use a lot of gas, Now using en417 canister at £1.99 each from Home Bargains.I thought you could only use canisters on the Cadac HP variant?
We have a Cadac LP type and just cart around a small Campingaz 904 bottle which we use outside when using the bbq. We run it in parallel to the Vango induction hob when we are connected with ehu.
I suppose we justify the 1.8kg (904) bottle as we are away for weeks at a time. It is not that big and much smaller than the 907 in the water tank.I’ve got a Cadac LP. Couldn’t justify carrying the big bottle as we don’t use a lot of gas, Now using en417 canister at £1.99 each from Home Bargains.
You need an EN417 regulator which screws into the canister. Then use quick release connectors.I thought you could only use canisters on the Cadac HP variant?

Thanks @CaliforniaCylus that is useful information.. Agree with cleaning comment which is why we often end up using the induction plus the fact that the induction works at lower temperatures so can simmer rather than burn! You need an EN417 regulator which screws into the canister. We carry a 907 in the van gas locker and the canisters as backup for it and for the Cadac.
Tbh I find the Cadac is such a hassle to clean it's now been abandoned for a Ninja Crispi and Aferiy P280 power station
