Amazon silicon bumpers for the T7 Ocean sliding doors. Saved my sanity by banishing creaks.

Yup, 6mmx2mm work a treat… no squeaks. If vw weren’t so tight and did a better job then they wouldn’t be needed, the originals drop off

As @Chriskend mentions, there should be existing VW stickers already in place, on my Cali there was one remaining, the others had dropped off. I placed about 6 on the cabinet edge where it meets the sliding door (if that makes sense?). Definitely made a difference for a few £.

Aha, that’s why, I have a beach so the kitchen is in the boot. No creaking yet, only the manual hooks to look the roof down and silicon spray fixed that. #lucky me.
Apart from the sauna in the heat in the rear it’s perfect

Massive audio update today… all by Scope Automotive in Stoke-on-Trent…

• Front Stage: Audison Voce II (AVK 6 S II) component speakers mounted with Q+ 3D custom adapters.
• Amplification & Brain: Audison Forza AF C8.14 bit 14-channel DSP amplifier.
• Low End: Audison Prima APBX 8 R passive subwoofer enclosure.
• Acoustics: Front doors treated with Skinz Pro Black deadening and WaveLiner 15mm absorption.
• Extras: Front and rear dash cam installation, plus a "no-cut" ISO harness integration - FineVu GX400.

The sound right out of the box is brilliant, clean, and cuts through road noise effortlessly without rattling the door cards. They’ve asked me to bring it back after putting about 40 hours on the speakers so they can do a final alignment and fine-tune the DSP to my exact listening preferences. A fine-tune has already been completed by Four Masters Car Audio, and I need to arrange my next visit for them to attend again, once the speakers have bedded in.

The sub and amplifier all fit in the drivers seat (just!) and new seat rear panels have been created as the plastic coverings needed removing to create space. All can literally be returned to factory spec if I want to remove.

Springfields! I've wanted to do this for such a long time, having gone round the houses, looked at so many aftermarket wheels, asked VW about OEM accessory wheels, read lots of posts about diamond cutting, worming, spacers, tyres, and on and on. Recently found a set of Springfields on eBay and took a punt. Seller was great, wrapped them up and posted to my local Wheel Specialist who have refurbished them beautifully. I keep going out to stand at the front of the house to ogle them, I'm in love! Have had a weird obsession with wheels since being a car mad kid, and it's the first time I've actually bought a set that didn't come with the car, and I couldn't be happier! Local VW specialist is sorting some centre caps and bolt covers.
Also had a nasty gouge in the sliding door repaired by a brilliant place in Heaton, Newcastle called Heaton Park Coachworks. Beautiful job making it look like new, and removed the chrome trims. I love my California! Thanks for all the various posts discussing wheels and colours everyone, it's been massively helpful.

I had to argue very hard to convince my wife and daughter the other day that a black Caravelle was in fact black and not Starlight Blue like they thought. It's amazing when the sun catches it just right and it looks almost purple. Grey Newcastle day on an industrial estate doesn't do it any favours!

Considering the weight restriction preventing roof racks, that's a really good idea. Did you get a California / camper specialist to fit it or an electrics specialist?

I imported it from the manufacturer in Germany and fitted it my self. It’s a purpose design for the California Ranges. Extremely easy to fit and took about 2 hours with a coffee break.
The company were extremely helpful throughout the buying and importing process.

Scotch tape to cover the black glue from the speaker covers. It does leave nasty stains on your clothes I unfortunately noted last weekend. I guess it came loose from this summers heatwave.

Upgraded my Colapz shower to the Colapz heated up version very compact in case but then when out can hold 15ltrs and once heated (up to 40 degrees) can retain heat for around 3hrs high a low pressures

I picked up the new but bottom of the range Karcher window vac today in readiness for winters window condensation events.
The beauty of this one is that it is exceptionally quiet and can be used upside down which my old one couldn’t because it leaks.
The downside is I expected it to be more compact than it is.

No no sorry needed, anyway the place in the van was already taken last week with the Brandrup "envelopes" and a fire extinguisher as in the following picture Ha ha, such a small thing and two true gentlemen are responding with "I'am sorry" even though absolutely no harm was done. I have been living in Germany for 15 years and no German ever said those words to me. Even though several times they were really needed.
