Hi all, just joined. Have a 2025 Ocean T7 that is great but the leisure battery has deteriorated massively in the one year of ownership. After a full charge it shows 3 hours of life with just fridge on low. This used to last 2 days plus. VW tested it and said it is within limits for warranty. We have updated software and regularly charge it from home. Any help on this pls as it seriously affects how we use it and reflects baldly given the price we paid for it new last year. Is it just the management system showing incorrect figures (have reset that)? Should I push VW more? Anyone else have this experience? Thanks.

That doesn’t sound right at all. Ours show 60hrs with full charge and the fridge on 4, after one night they are at 80% and last around 3 days. I would be kicking off if they only lasted 3hrs. Charge them up to 100% at home then leave the fridge on full (put in camping mode) and check it 24hrs later.

You need to actually test it. anything under 24 hours fridge only is NOT within tolerance of warranty

I would push more.
I'm just buying a VW owned T7 California Ocean 1st reg Oct 2025 and when being checked over by the dealer they found that the 2 habitation batteries were not holding their power as well as they should be. Both are being replaced on warranty.
Also reading this forum, others have also had problems with their batteries.

Hi
Don’t know if this is helpful but we bought a 2025 T7 a few weeks ago . Just a couple of thousand miles on the clock . So likely little used . Our experience on a two night away trip and a few ‘picnics is the fridge gets perfectly cold on a 3 and drops about 20% overnight when not in hook up . Driving the van quickly charges it to 100% .
