Hi everyone

New to this but have been reading many of the posts prior to our purchase. Thank you to everyone for all your help so far

We have bought a second hand Ocean T7 (our friends say the T6.1 is better) and are very excited!

As we are new to this what are the must have accessories to start our journey?

Many thanks

Andy

Welcome!
A regular question on here.
‘Buy as you need’ is usually the consensus answer. You can waste a lot of money on stuff that sounds good, but you end-up not using.

Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your van regardless of what your supposed friends think. I'm sure you weighed up all the differences and made your choice.

Anyway it's spot on to buy gradually and on the 'if only we had a ....' basis.

Which is why our van has a shoehorn tucked in a pocket.

It also has a collapsible colander which last night I thought might meet the 'everything must two uses' rule of thumb. However it turned out not to be as useful in an eclipse as the scientists said

Snap, I collect my T7 California Ocean next week. I have owned a 6.1 Ocean but I prefer the new setup in the T7 and it looks far more modern.

Loved that answer.
Firstly, we also have a collapsible colander, but under the two use rule, I believe the OP needs to wait until 2090 for it to pay off as a worthwhile item.
Secondly, why didn’t the colander trick work for you? Too excited, wearing it on your head, pretending to be a dalek perhaps?
Thirdly, I can’t wait to hear about your second use for the shoehorn.
Finally, I also like the ‘if you don’t use it in three trips leave it behind’ rule. This has me thinking about whether I need my collapsible colander.

The new mini looks more modern than the old one, but I know which one I’d like to own.

Ouch! Really, really, sorry, but I thought it and before I knew it, my fingers had typed it, and then it was done and I pressed…

Each to their own.
As I said I had a 6.1 4motion and much prefer the set up and looks of the T7 and the double electric sided doors.

Wait! The shoehorn idea is actually brilliant! All campers moving from those tired old T5/T6 vans to those modern looking T7s should have one…
That’s right
You’ve guessed it
To help with repacking their gear :D

It’s just jokes guys.
Last one.
Promise.

Welcome to the club
We have had our T7 ocean diesel for a year now and love it . We think there is plenty of space and been fine with 2 week trips .Mind you came from camping and no cupboards . Agree with others live with it for a bit before you decide what extras you need that work for you .
