Back driverside roller blind not staying down

Perfect. 5 minutes and the blind was fixed.

I have experienced the same issue with the sliding door blind, and as a temporary fix have used a couple of small sticky dots (the type used on the glass hob top to stop it rattling) to make the channel small enough to hold the bottom of the blind. Seems to work ok until I can source a replacement plastic piece as per the above!

Further to my last post I decided to take a closer look - it seems that the black plastic pieces on either side are present in the rails, but broken where they are meant to connect to the bottom of the blind.
The sticky dots will become a permanent feature, as they work just fine and it looks like the fiddliest job on earth to try and replace the black plastic fittings!

Please excuse me replying to this thread after 3 years, but could I briefly be guided through removing the blind handle from the kitchen? I'd like to replace the gasket in the sliding window but the handle is in the way of me being able to remove it.
I feel this black block discussion may provide clues but I dont wish to snap the back blocks on the wires!

The fabric is permanently attached to the aluminium bar (handle) follow my guide above and you'll get a very satisfying fix .

This is really useful, thanks for this.
So to summarise;

• Open the pop-top roof
• Raise the bed
• Pull the blind down
• Tilt the handle 45° (fabric will bunch up but will be ok)
• Gently remove the handle from the little black wire runners
• Tape the blind handle above your head where the bed usually rests
• Remove the sliding window

Does this read about right? I'm quite nervous doing anything with the blinds, especially because they are a challenge to replace!

Hey - just a brief update;

I examined the side window slider and mechanism and found it to be identical top and bottom so I chose to remove the window from the bottom, leaving the blind in place.

Hi - we experienced exactly the same issue - the whole thing was swapped over under warranty by Listers VW Worcs - in my view the blind is vulnerable to a bit of accidental abuse as it is over the door. I have instructed the family not to pull it down unless the sliding door is closed.

We had an issue with the blind open our sliding door. The little black retainer clip thing on the end of the strip at the bottom came off inside the runner. VW dealer master tech took seconds to retrieve the black end bit and fix it back.
