roof bolt rust

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in on this “rust” thread.

I am touring Europe and have found on of the screws / bolts has rusted and I think it lines up with the top of the roof area too so passed on to this.

I have also now checked the scissor roof struts and can see some spotting of rust here too.

Would I be best to scrub / rub some ACF50 on these areas with a cloth or scrubber to help?

I think @WelshGas recommended the ACF50 stuff

Yes for sure sounds like great stuff. Seen it on Amazon for about £28 .

Do you think I can rub the rust spots with a soft cloth and that AF50 stuff on the supporting struts ?

Don't see why not. Wipe over, leave for 48hrs or so and wipe with clean cloth. Otherwise it will attract dust if too much left on. With any bolts just apply with a brush and leave.
