Upto 2-3 weeks from UK port to Dealership and customer. Upto 4 weeks from Germsny to UK port.

The Volkswagen new vehicle build and order tracking process moves through distinct factory production phases and tracking milestones, spanning from initial order processing to factory assembly, quality checks, transit, and final dealership delivery.

Factory Build & Order Tracking Stages

• • Stage 1 (Processing Order / Code P/V/00): Order is placed, 0.6.8 processing in the system, and awaiting factory slot or allocation.
  • Stage 2 (With Factory / Code 10/20): Parts are lined up and a specific Build Week (BW) is scheduled and confirmed.
  • Stage 3 (Build in Progress): The physical build occurs over a few days, covering the core manufacturing steps:
    • Press Shop / Stamping: Flat steel sheets are cut and pressed into body panels.
    • Body Shop (Shell): Robots weld, rivet, and bond the metal skeleton together.
    • Paint Shop: Anti-corrosion dips, primers, base colors, and clear coats are applied and cured.
    • Assembly Line: Wiring, interior trim, windows, dashboards, engines, and powertrains are installed.
  • Quality Control (Checkpoint 8): Final testing, electronic checks, alignments, and test drives.
  • Stage 5a / 5b (In Transit - Factory to Port / Code 30/36): Moved from the factory to export hubs (like Emden) awaiting a cargo ship.
  • Stage 5c (Shipping & UK Arrival): Transported by boat to UK ports (such as Grimsby, Tyne, or Sheerness) and moved to the retailer.
  • Final Delivery: Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and handover at the dealership.
