We've ordered a Coast from Liverpool too.
Indian Grey
Heated Seats
Heated windscreen
Mudflaps
Limo tint glass (Liverpool offer this service) as the 1 we saw had tinted glass and was very see through.
Panoramic roof
And a few other things I can't remember.
It was 6k less than the ocean.

The California Chris youtube videos are a fab help. Infact we sat in the red coast he used in his last video and it really helped us see what we wanted.

Pondering this old post 5 years down the line & wondering how everybody's Coast lives are?!
I think we were a few of the lucky ones to have scooped up a Coast, as predicted VW quickly withdrew this option from the UK market, I believe due to them being better value than the Oceans!
Im absolutely loving Coast life!

Oh hi Stuart yes I remember exchanging a few bits of info etc.
No me neither in fact I think it will be inherited by my daughter!! But if you do decide to sell theyve really held their value, I think the manual roof is quite sought after now & so glad I went for that option without the worry of the sag or closure issues!
Just love the whole freedom & adventure it gives you & its my second home!

I went to an Ocean after having the Coast for 4 years. The Coast was every bit as functional whilst simpler and therefore more reliable. Many of the Ocean 'upgrades' such as wifi, Discover pro and the app have been unreliable or overly complicated ime.

Lovely for you to be able to buy again.
No when Ive looked at whats available the Coasts do appear hard to get hold of.
Our neighbours sold theirs 2 years ago to move up to Westfalia Sven Hedin & they got practically what they paid for it.

We got an ex-demo Coast T7 in february. Based in France so it’s LHD on french plates.
Came well specced up with a lot of add-on options. Apart from a main battery problem when we picked it up, so far so good.

Im absolutely loving Coast life!

Well, after just under 100,000 kilometers in a little over four years, over 150 nights in it, I can only conclude that this is the best choice for our family of four: t6.1, automatic climate control, 150 hp (honestly, I don't need more), and no 4Motion (I’ve never missed it, even though we sleep on various types of terrain during our trips) and.. a 5 seater. Then there’s the DSG gearbox: no more endless manual gear shifting!
And, of course, the pop top roof: it’s manual, and I wouldn’t have it any other way; it goes up and down in no time.
Just a quick aside: not only the roof mechanism holds up well, the whole California in terms of furniture also and I’m comparing it to our previous T4 Westfalia California. Well done.
Ours is loaded with thousands of euros' worth of options such as the radio unit and the aforementioned air conditioning and fifth seat, as well as the lighting pack in the upper part and more though there is one I probably should have ticked but didn't: LED headlights. I’m going to fix that by adding extra lights to the grille—a little project for the future.
I’m really happy with my 17-inch steel wheels; I touched them up yesterday with a spray can from Action, followed by a few coats of glossy clear lacquer, and they look—almost—like new again.
We just got back from a 20-day trip to Portugal: we drove the N2 from north to south, spent some time in the Algarve, and returned via the coast, visiting Lisbon and Porto along the way. It’s a fantastic vehicle for trips like that; the fact that it’s a Coast model gives it a slightly more basic, rugged vibe (in my eyes) that’s perfect for road-tripping though that’s obviously just my personal, biased take on the Coast.

Oh wow that's amazing so many adventures - Ive never added up how many nights Ive spent away but will have to now!! My daughter bought me a travel journal which Ive kept over the 5 years so will have to count up. Ive only done 25,000 miles as not yet ventured into Europe as thats for retirement in a few years hopefully! That's amazing you accomodate 4 but I guess thats somewhat easier with better weather! Yes the automatic makes it a dream to drive & I think my favourite option was the wood flooring! I do sometimes struggle with the roof because I have the liner fitted but at least I can always get it up or down! Lovely to hear youre enjoying your travels so much how wonderful

I have the standard floor, though I have to admit the wooden one looks really nice. I also use interior insulation; I detach the front section and lay it on the bed before folding the unit down and sliding the hatch shut—it takes just a few extra seconds once you're used to it.
