Hi,

Caution if you are purchasing one of these folding carpets, despite what it says on the advert they do not fit the 6.1

Pity I liked the idea.

Fits my T6 perfectly. Has the stop at the back of your seats been removed so your seats go back a bit further?

The 6.1 bench does go back a bit further, certainly than my old 5.1, although I keep mine slightly forward in the same position because it suits the way I pack.

That is a pity. Are they taking it back?
I’m a recent (“re”)convert to the Lino / no carpet team.
Im a recent convert, i like my smooth now

It does, I noticed this when I got the van, presume the rear carpets they are too long for the same reason.

I prefer to keep the seat in the correct position for the small extra living space it provides.

I'm sure they will, but their return policy is that I pay for postage, but since this is their error in the description I'm expecting them to pay.

Agreed. I’d do the same if the plastic boxes that I keep in the rear didn’t suit me so well.

Campervan bits have now changed their advert to say it only fits the 6.1 if you move the rear seat 50 mm forward.

Basically it does not fit the 6.1 with the seat in the correct position.

I did ask if they would contact the manufacturer to see if one the correct size could be made but got no response. Pity I really liked the idea.

The one I received for my 6.1 has now been returned.

So thr boot space is less on the T6.1 compared with the T6?

Yes, I noticed that when I used my 5.1 rear carpet in my 6.1

The lower bed cover in the rear bed shelf cushion cover from my 5.1 is also a bit big but I just fold it a bit

We’ve got them in our T6.1 and they work perfectly. You can slide the seat further forward if the gap bothers you. We love these carpets. Much nicer than the hard floor, easy to use and clean and very adaptable.

I just prefer the extra living space and did not want the gap. Can't understand why making one that is specific to the 6.1 is such an issue.
I'm getting prices for a custom carpet the correct size, unfortunately not folding, I did like that feature.

Try Fat Bobs Emporium in Southam, they can make whatever your heart desires. I have 2 separate pieces, works perfectly

We looked at the Brandrup when we bought Vinnie in 2022, but went for 2 separate carpets but found it inconvenient at night with the bed out - the carpet kept ‘creeping ‘ with the ladder in use for the pop top.
Finally treated the van to a Brandrup 2 rail carpet and what a game changer for us - the van has a different feel when sliding the door open and seeing it.
Took nearly 4 years to save up tho

Hi There everyone, just an update on this thread as we've had a few questions. Sbmcd is correct, if you have the seats in the T6.1 as far back as you possible can (with the original stoppers in place) it will be around 50mm too short. We've updated the listings (Mats and Carpets) on the website after this was pointed out, as to be a little clearer. That said, whilst Sbmcd was wanting to run the rear seat on the most rear position, our experience is that many people have rear trays / storage boxes (myself included) and rarely, if ever, have the seat that far back. I have a rear tray in my T6.1 and the folding mats work spot on. If they were 50mm longer they would cause me issues. So only if you want to run your rear seats in the very rear position on a T6.1 will this be a problem.
