Replacement cutlery tray

The cutlery tray in my old 5.1 was much sturdier than that provided with the 6.1.

I used to feel comfortable lifting out the old tray fully loaded to access a “secret” area underneath for slimline bits and pieces - documents etc. The new tray flexes too much. I wonder if it can be reinforced? Does anyone use a sturdier replacement? For example, is the Brandrup one a worthwhile improvement?

I took mine out as so much more space without it & there's now room to put my plates, bowls, cups, mugs, & cutlery in there.

That sounds like a tardis rather than a draw. Well done!
I was thinking of going the other way and having more dividers, but using a tray that has less 'loss' in between each of the divisions. If there aren't any recommendations and I don't find one, I might have a go at making something myself from ply.
