Advice on replacing drive shafts

Hi All,
I've been advised that the driveshafts need replacing on mine (T5 2.5tdi Auto). And from what I can tell GKN is the brand to go for.

Has anyone done this before? Any advice? Technical specs?

Not done it before

You may get a better response on the T5 forum who tend to be more technical

Ah thanks for the resources.
I've called up some VW parts people and via VIN number been given the following:

Passenger side: 7H0407271AT
Drivers side: 7E0407272BE

and then also a stud shaft which is 09K409352.

so I shall be trying to procure these then!

Unless they come with the driveshafts, don't forget you'll need new driveshaft nuts. Cheaper to buy from Autodoc than VW. For a T6 VW wanted £50 each (!!). Febi Bilstein ones from Autodoc £5 each.
