What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

Definitely not the official very overpriced official one. I got one from EBay I think, let me have a look and I’ll post a link….. turns out it was Amazon. I got a DC adaptor from eBay to connect the two cables so you still have a long cable if required

XLTTYWL Starlink Mini 12V Cable - Star Link Mini In-Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter & DC Power Cable 12V-24V with Digital Display Charging Cord with USB Type-C Port 3M/10FT https://amzn.eu/d/04PyxzzO
Thank you so much! Now I just need a roof mount!! Thanks again.

25 metres of Blue Arctic Cable for the EHU, not perceptably lighter than the Orange / Yellow type, but much more pliable. Re-used the old EHU connectors, tried it. Nothing went bang / melted.
Nice idea, I find the orange cable a pain to handle in anything over 15m lengths.
Which core size did you go for? 1.5mm or 2.5mm?

Couldn't agree more. Had ours from our camping days and still going strong.

I chose 2.5mm. Didn't save much weight but more flexible, especially when warm.

I've got the 1.5mm Arctic yellow in two sections 11 and 14 meters with waterproof connectors.

It's pushing it at 25m but tbh, it's not like we are running a 3kw Alde central heating system. Our little oil radiator is like 600w

The thing is so well made, the backside doesnt even get warm
I guess in the picture it is installed on the opposite side of the awning ?
Still does not feel good for me to install it so close to the cali.

It's midge season and the little blighters zoom with ease through the vents. So, while not exactly bought yet, I am improvising with tissues and safety pins from stock. Next foray will be to the lingerie section of a local store for a pair of tights to do a proper job!
Other suggestions gratefully received.

Love it!

Finally got round to buying a Cadac Safari Chef 30 LP Deluxe Pro with QR (blimey that’s a name innit!)

Been thinking about it for too many years now. I assembled and tested it and first impressions are very favourable. We already have the regulator for propane so just ordered hose and regulator for the 907’s and we are in business!

To be honest I’m just as excited about using it at home as when out with the van……. I can wind the heat up, smoke those steaks/burgers/bacon whatever and not worry about fat splatters or the residual cooking smells

Joy!

Great choice i put qr into the gas cuboard so can connect up gas bottle without unscrewing the regulator.

Replacement speaker which sticks to the side of the van with a magnet or the awning pole with its strap. Awesome sound. 24 hour battery and doubles as a power bank.
