Control panel trouble

I was having issues with my control panel knob on my T6 2017 Ocean and ordered a new one from CampervanBits. I followed the changing instructions, but have failed somewhere along the way. The panel is showing Saturday and a time of 0000. I can’t get the menu up to change it or the roof. I will retrace my steps in the very optimistic hope that it will rectify but feel that I need to get it to VW to fix. I am gutted I’m going away for the next many weekends. I can put the fridge on with the control panel so will have to cope like that. Looking for mostly sympathy.

Check the plugs are properly seated and they must be inserted in the correct order smallest to largest.
