We did a third trip to Western Isles in April & had the most fabulous weather, went home for a funeral then came up to Shetland. We thought we couldn’t be as lucky again weather wise, been here 12 days (got another week) we have had some gorgeous days as is today. Move it to the top of your must visit list

My first trip to OUter Hebrides. North Lewis for a few days before heading further south. Visit to the “Butt of Lewis” today the lighthouse then Europe beach.

Verona - Fair city an blooming hot
Campsite right in the City, not suitable to Big Whites, very limited camper van pitches, most have good shade (a few have none) electric pitches
Excellent location for a couple of days, views over the city from the sun terrace.
Camping Castel san pietro .
An easy 40 minute drive from lake Garda.
Edit : I would just temper my enthusiasm with the fact that we got scam Whatsapps looking very authentic, including all our booking details, address, site logo etc ; asking for payment via a link!
Turned out to be a scam ! (Known by the site) - didn't answer our direct emails !
However The campsite have a note on their web page saying they never ask for payment via What's app.
We paid in full prior to arrival so we new there was no issue
we paid the additional tourist tax on arrival, via card.
despite this and the previous assurances from the site "they never ask for payment via WhatsApp" , we left in the morning and ... you guessed it the site said we didn't pay the tourist tax via what's app,(communications what's app really ! )
please pay us! Scam ?
we thought this was another scam , so responded to the site via an recognised email,
they then came back & said we had not paid the tourist tax 6 euros! What the payment you took on our arrival at site ?
, please pay via the what's app link ! WTF
be very careful they seem slightly inept and seem to have security issue with their IT systems- we proved we paid (via a screen shot ) no apology , no response to date !

I love this site! One of the few we have visited 3 times and an easy hop to Germany over the Innsbruck pass.
