European fuel prices

We're making our way to Rome (1st to 23rd May) and thought it may be helpful to list some fuel prices as we go.
France: Dunkirk to Straasbourg via A26, varies from 2.09 to 2.39 euros/L
Germany: Kehl to Lindau via 33/333 varies from 1.98 to 2.29
Austria: 1.94/L just over the German/Austrian border and generally lower than Germany or France.
Italy to follow.
Not on your route, but in Spain this week I've seen it as high as 1.95, but it's mostly around 1.65 to 1.75. Much cheaper than France.

Time to detour into Slovenia. Diesel price just reduced to 1.64 Euros per litre. That’s c£1.42
Buy some wine with your savings. Slovenia has some excellent vineyards. :happy

€1.89 at Auchan Coquelles this morning, so a bit better to fill-up when you arrive in France than in the UK currently.
(Diesel)

For comparison Diesel in the U.K. now £1.66 pretty much everywhere locally. Petrol £1.48

The current tax break support from the Germany Government that is giving lower (still higher than nornmal) fuel prices is due to end on 1st July. Hopefully Trump's claim (for 45th time) of a peace deal is actually true this time and things will naturally drop before the end of the month.

Did a week in Southern France a couple weeks ago, prices in France we still a little eye watering.

Diesel down to €1.84 in cheapest supermarket in Nice (Leclerc Saint Isidore) but keep an eye on Total Acess stations (orange, not red, rooves) as they say they’re supposed to rival cheapest local price

Always pleased to see precision in the quantity of fuel I’m buying!

Recommend 1-2-3 Fuel as an App for finding cheap fuel when abroad, its free and served us well in France a few weeks ago, very accurate.

Looks like good info for France, Spain, Germany, Portugal. It doesn’t appear to cover the Nordic countries. I’d be interested to hear about recent experiences of diesel prices going north from France if anyone is coming back from that way.
