I appreciate this isn’t a new concept but thought I’d post this here as a useful info point for anyone who’s interested in a remap.

We took Shelley, (DSG tdi 150 Ocean) down to Bognor yesterday and visited Simon and Ollie at Bognor Motors.

I’ve read reviews by others who’ve had the remaps and while they’re universally positive I was absolutely blown away by the transformation.

The TVS remap of the DSG allows you to feather the accelerator for slow speed manoeuvres and pulling out at junctions/roundabouts, while the Revo remap makes it feel instantly responsive at any speed. (In fairness that’s probably a combination of the little bit of extra power and the gearbox being in a better gear)

There are others who might be able to explain it better, but we drove a different van home and with a grin on my face.

For those who are interested in getting a remap, there’s currently a 40% discount on Revo software. And why Bognor Motors? They were helpful and informative when I enquired about the remaps, efficient when they did the work and just thoroughly nice chaps to deal with. (Did it give me confidence when we arrived and their carparks were almost entirely full of Transporters of different flavours? Yes it did.)

Can you share the cost of the DSG remap pls ?
Sorry, not off the top of my head. (The receipt is at home.) but including the Revo discount it was circa £700 for both.

We remapped our previous van. Huge difference, just a nicer drive. It gave me more confidence on junctions and it pulled up hills so much more efficiently. We also got better mpg.

I had the dsg remap done a few years ago (but not the engine remap). Massive improvement, like you say, a different vehicle now. Previously always in too high a gear so when you accelerate first there was a delay whilst gearbox changed down.

Now always in the right gear. A much improved driving experience. I’m sure it’s better for the drivetrain because there are so many fewer changes, and no more struggling in the wrong gear. I too have noticed improved mpg

Bognor motors remapped our old 2012 manual beach. Huge difference in performance (mid range acceleration) and improved mpg.

Also had uprated ARB’s fitted at the same time which took the wallow out on cornering…but think newer vans might have these fitted as standard now?
