Road assistance VW vs moneysupermarket

Does anyone have experience using Britannia Rescue? Prices seem about the same as the others, but that's not a deciding factor for me. So far, from the comments all the major players look like they have issues.
Been with them for years, not used them for the cali as still got vw cover via the all in. If you go for full cover including personal you are covered for any vehicle you or your partner are traveling in regardless of if you own it, as well as European cover for one nominated vehicle though you can't swap these in and out freely if you have more than one vehicle. If bought via boundless they seem competitive

We won’t use VW LEICESTER due to there attitude, we go to Coventry which is actually easier to get too. They have been great and so helpful. May be worth considering if you need a dealership again.
Are Coventry a California dealership or have a qualified California technician/mechanic do you know at all?
Just thinking if they will have the knowledge re habitation / Cali specific issues / training updates etc as opposed to ‘Service’ side (Transporter).
Good recommendations are worth knowing about re our treasured Cali’s. Thank you

One other thing to consider re taking out VW Assist is when you ask for the VW specific assistance technician to attend if they can’t get you sorted then they make a priority booking with your dealership immediately (which the dealership has to honour) and organises a hire car if required. The dealership is then obliged to assess your vehicle within 24-48 hours of arriving. I’ve made full use of this on two occasions. If I had been left to try and book an appointment direct myself ( or other unspecified recovery provider) then I was told nothing was available for several weeks!
It’s now 72hrs to look at van/diagnose not including weekends.

That must mean they (vw assist / AA) have extended the period of time that The AA provides a free courtesy car for.

That's the deal , the AA / VW assist provides a courtesy car (when specifically requested by the customer) and the dealer has to carry out the Diagnostics within that time to limit the ongoing costs of car hire charges to VW assist / AA !

Make sure sure you insist on a courtesy car when using your policy

I don’t know I had to insist on vehicle as I said I wasn’t willing to drive with engine management light on (live in the middle of nowhere), they didn’t have a van so got hire van all sorted by vw assist after a few calls.
Vw garage said they had 72hrs to confirm the fault and kept it for 2wks in total (waiting on part), still better than waiting 2wks to just look at it and keep driving van!
So was very pleased.
The hire charge from enterprise was only £540 for 2wks which was billed to them, for some reason I ended up with copy of cost (so they get a very good price not like Joe Public!)

Yes fully qualified commercial/california VW centre. Ours is going in next week for the rear heating lane, to be replaced as it is sticking. They have been really good and so helpful. Well worth the trip and much easier to get too than Leicester.
