T6.1 Ocean 150
We had our first night in our 22 t6.1 Ocean. A few observations I would be grateful for some ssistnce / guidance.

  • The dashboard screen came on and there was a beeping noise for a very short period, is this normal what does it mean?
  • Wife was in downstairs, me upstairs. Heating set to 3, with pull out plastic a concertina but not pulled out (my weight on this seemed to prevent it), heater was going off most of the night
  • Re the above, when the bed is in up position, heater does not seem to come on, is there an override
  • Raining most of last night, is it to put away slightly wet for day trip out today
  • I have an inflatable mattress up there with a sheet on it, is it ok to leave on there when pop top c9es down?
Regards ad thanks BOOMEL

Not sure about dashboard beep, i used Carista to stop the beeping when drivers door is opened but I always take the keys out of the ignition and put them back in as otherwise it seems awake.

Heater at 3 seems very low, if it’s coming in it’s generally at a 6 or more for me. It should Run with bed in any position, although with it down it warms up very quick and then is silent or appears off when up to temperature unless you open a door or introduce cold air.

I keep the sliding tray open but I sleep further into the pop top so my pillows won’t fall down the opening.

If you put away the pop top wet give it an airing when dry, sometimes I have to do this next day and it’s been fine.

Don’t leave anything up there when closing the roof. A Fitted sheet would be ok

We put a pair of those thin ‘self inflating’ roll mats side by side under the roof mattress and left the valves open. Fit perfectly, quite comfortable when not inflated and don’t have to be taken out when the roof is down. Dirt cheap from Halfords.

Dunno, as someone says above - door? We find the button lights a pain and cover them in tape on a night

3 is low, we use 6 as the default in colder weather. It does come on and off, that’s how it works. On to reach ambient temp, off, cools down, on again.

Should not make a difference

Yes, just make sure to air out when you get home

Some will say yes, deflated, I say no.

If you gear stick is in the P position and the keys are out of the ignition, there shouldn't be any beeps - even when a door is open.

But quite a few people (myself included) have reported some kind of faulty sensor that causes the van to think that the gearstick isn't in the P position, resulting in random short BEEP noises (and the dashboard coming on and displaying an error message for a fraction of a second) when a door is open.

I'm having my van serviced in a couple of weeks and will get them to look at this for me.
