T5 2008 California: About 2 years ago we had an issue with our windscreen wipers that just stopped suddenly while driving in torrential rain for about 5 hours. Had to pull onto the hard shoulder of the motorway, it’s was very scary. We waited about 10 minutes and the wipers then started working fine again. They have been fine ever since, garage could determine the fault. However, a couple of days ago, while driving in only intermittent rain, using the wipers occasionally, they suddenly stopped again and then only worked intermittently. Any thoughts on what the problem could be? Overheated motor, a problem with the stalk on the steering column? I read somewhere possibly the wiper linkage? Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Obviously rather scared to drive the van at the moment!
