Button lights

Hi, My stop start button, parking sensor button and passenger airbag button don’t light up in the dark when the headlights are on. They light up when I press them. I have seen pictures of Calis with the all the buttons lit up so I assume mine should too. Anybody else had this issue. The Cali goes in for a service soon so I’ll get them to check it out

The start stop button only lights up when switched off , I believe the others will be the same

I.e. unlit working , lit disabled

Mmm you are correct. They on,y light up when pressed in . It’s probably right then. I don’t drive the Cali often when dark and always turn off the stop start system with the button and I had to turn the interior light on just to see the buttons. Every other button on the dash lights up so I just thought it was odd that these didn’t

Just jumping on the button question, is the volume slider and temp controls sliders supposed to light up in the T7?

I’m a new T7 Ocean owner and the haptic buttons below the screen for Temp/Volume are not illuminated. However, the A/C temps can be adjusted directly on the screen by tapping the temperature. This is really easy and I have not problems switching between options as needed. The volume is a bit tedious but I use the steering wheel so no problem day/night. For passengers the volume is a bit daft.

Thanks, thought that was the case as thats what it is on some of the IDs. But yes annoying for passengers and having to change to the clima screen off the map to adjust temps in The dark.

Don't you have the map display on the Dashboard between the dials?

This works with the built in vw map but it doesn't show the marked route if using Waze or Google Maps

OK. Never used them. I just use the VW app and its built in Google map function to identify my destination and send it to the vehicle satnav and off we go.
