Interested to know if anyone has an answer to my query. We’re taking the Portsmouth - Santander ferry at the end of the month. While I am expecting delays on arrival due to the implementation of EES, my wife has an EU passport and I completed my biometric data entry last month when we went to Tenerife for a week. Will this allow me a quicker exit does anyone know? My guess is that I’ll have to queue with everyone else, but that the passport/EES checks will be quicker - so not much help. Does anyone have more info?

Arrived in Bilbao this week took 2hours to leave ferry and port. No biometric data but maybe some had. You will still be in queue as it is the vehicle that ques. We sat in the ferry hold most of the time. It is unlikely you will be quicker.

Can’t answer categorically. However, when I entered my EES data at border control during early a January I asked the question can I use the automated scanners next time. Answer was not until we switch them on (smart arse) in or around June. Until then I’d have to repeat the same process I was told. Not that the person was very knowledgeable. That was Portugal at the airport.

Whether you have done biometrics or not is irrelevant to processing. Join the same queue as everyone else.
Airports are different but only if you have a non Brexit bonus passport. And if you haven’t, the the fact you have already done biometrics is also irrelevant.
