VWFS Commercial had new promotion on Personal Contract Hire on all T7 models.

You can do quotes on VW configurator.

Example price for Beach Camper diesel: 3 + 23 x £517.64.
Ocean is quite expensive.

PCP can work out very well under certain circumstances.

If you had a very good crystal ball in 2021 and it told that there was about to be rampant inflation you could have gotten a very cheap California.
The interest rate on PCP at the time was 2.8%, a typical deal was £10,000 down, £518/ month for 59 months and £32,000 balloon payment = £70,562 total cost.
According to the Bank of England inflation calculator £40,130.20 today has the same purchasing power as £32,000 in 2021, so you would have knocked £8,130.20 off the price ( in today’s money )

If your crystal ball also did stock markets and told you that the FTSE 100 would be at 7200 in October 2021 and 10,600 now, then you would have stuck the £32,000 you didn’t give Volkswagen in there and…..Bingo.

The offer isn't a PCP - its Personal Contract Hire with no option to purchase the van, the £517.64 does not include any options at all - add on some paint and a heater & it goes up by £100 a month, essentially you pay 100% of the cost of the options over the hire period.

By the time you get to a 4 year deal you are paying 50% of the cost of the van & have nothing to show at the end of it.

At least with a PCP if the residual value at the end is more than the optional final payment you have some equity.

Yeah I know that, but the second post said PCP deals were pretty good and that’s what I was referring to, maybe I should have replied to post 2 instead of a standalone post.

I bought a beach with a lot of the more expensive options, got a big discount plus the VW contribution and I've ended up paying less than £100 a month more than the PCP deal I had on my previous Skoda Karoq for an awful lot more car!
