Looking for your ideas, thoughts for a good folding camping chair. Doesn’t need to be stowed in the door, as long as it collapses. I don’t mind spending a few bob for quality. Something really comfortable for chilling out for a few hours. There is a lot out there and I might find something at the NEC this week.

Get one(or two) of these. Very comfy. Not heavy.

Having tried several folding chairs, including a Helinox Sunset and the cheap Chinese Helinox lookalikes, I went for one of these :

It does fit into the tailgate with the VW chairs in place, which is a bonus for storage.
When I bought it there was a 10% off offer, which they repeat on a periodic basis.

I was a little worried about ordering from overseas and the cost of returning it if wasn't suitable, but I went ahead and ordered one anyway.

It's very solid, despite the light weight and is a bit higher off the ground than a lot of the other collapsible chairs. And it is really comfortable, unlike the standard VW chair.

Helinox Sunset for us, light and simple no folding bits with rivets just aluminium tubes and plastic connector blocks all held together with elastic cord. Can be assembled in around a minute and packs away in a tiny bag that so light it is not an issue carrying them with you while walking. We find them really comfortable because of the high back. We have ditched the two Calli seats and both the Helinox ones fit in one side of that tailgate leaving the other side free for our thermal windscreen cover. They are expensive but they are extremely well made. We love them
