Hi everyone,
First of all, I don’t have much experience with car technical data or regulations, so this is just my opinion.
I’ve been looking at the specs for the California T7 PHEV and comparing them with the Multivan T7 PHEV (7-seater). I’m trying to understand why the California Beach Tour is limited to 4 seats instead of 5. I’ve noted all the specs from the website in the table below.

Assuming an average person weighs about 75 kg, and an additional seat adds around 25 kg, the California Ocean PHEV is more than 100 kg heavier than the Beach. Based on that, it seems like the Beach could support one more seat.
Is there a business reason for limiting the Cali Beach PHEV to 4 seats, or is there a technical/regulatory limitation that I’m missing?
Thanks!
