1st service out of warranty for my california T6.1

Just looking for advice and garage recommendations! Do I need to still got to VW garage? Can another garage get any updates required. Did the extend the warranty but chose not to do last year. Live in Aberdeenshire, but refuse to go to Aberdeen VW dealer as had nothing but trouble with them in the past. I went last year to Preston, place of purchase but don't fancy the long haul. As I have friends in Glasgow was wondering any suggestions? if i check a garage can do habitation check and service do I need VW garage?? 20 plate only 29K miles. Look forward to your sound advice!!

29k miles on 20 plate ...has it ever left Scotland?

But seriously, I have opted to use a specialist VAG independent now I am out of warranty. They replicate the VW service regimes at a fraction of the cost and so far have been far more trustworthy that the dealers I have used. My local VAG independent is in Stoke so no use for you but there must be one near Glasgow.

Hawco Van centre in Inverness are very good in my opinion. They serviced my previous Crafter conversion plus my current Coast.
