What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

Thanks :thumb

Folks (including me) post links to stuff all the time, it's part of what makes these forums so great ;)

They've not arrived yet so can't comment on how good they are, but from what I've seen online about them, they help a lot when it comes to maximising storage whilst helping keep the rattles down.

Hopefully they will arrive this week so I'll report back once they are in the Cali.
Hi, can you post the url and/or where you ordered these through? TIA, Richie

i dont think there is an UK reseller

not the cheapest, but super happy with zero rattles from the kitchen and back cabinet.

I too couldn't find a UK seller so had to buy directly from 50 Nord; they are expensive for what they are and there is extra to pay once they land in the UK (duty + VAT) but they are very good quality and since they are designed specifically for the California, they do fit perfectly.

I purchased the left kitchen cupboard boxes (I've got the drawer pack in the right cupboard) and the rear cupboard boxes (7 boxes in total). Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago and here is my take on them...

Pros
  • High quality.
  • Look good/tidy.
  • Lightweight.
  • They seem to be very strong.
  • They help with keeping the noise down.
  • Perfect fit, designed specifically for the California.
Cons
  • Expensive (around £283 + £68 customs fees).
  • The are quite a tight fit (makes it a little awkward to pull out).
  • Of the 4 boxes that go in the left kitchen cupboard, the leftmost 2 cannot be removed without first removing the boxes on the right.
  • The height of the boxes makes it difficult to get anything out of them without pulling the box out of the cupboard first.
  • They do have the effect on shrinking the cupboard space, especially those in the rear cupboard; example, the stuff that previously occupied just the bottom rear cupboard in my Cali now takes up 2 full shelves, so in the end I don't use the bottom box at all.
I've got a T6 Cali and so my points above are specific to the T6; they might be slightly better in the T6.1 because you have better access in the rear cupboard (no tambour door in the way) and the kitchen cupboard latches in the T6.1 are different to the latches in the T6 (less likely to catch on the side of the box as you pull it out).

Overall, I am pleased with them, you will struggle to find anything better; having said that, whilst I will use them for a bit to see how I get on, I may end up not using them because of the cons listed above, time will tell.

Expensive but a great product :)

For the rear cupboards only, if the 50Nord are either too expensive or inefficient in storage (as above) we use the bags here (the specific eBay listing has finished but there are other similar listings):

Not so pretty, but they hold a lot, are easy to take out, do not rattle, have useful extra pockets and cost very little (not wanting to rub it in to those who shelled out for the 50Nord’s - after all I am the man that paid 399€ for an Ecomat 2000+ Select heater as #8232!)

Incredibly boring - but I bought a couple of Backmara bath mats from Ikea for the Cali. I saw the Brandrup ones that come in 2 pieces but they were about £80 and as lovely as they are, I preferred to pay £8 each for these. The bench drawer opens over the mat and when you need to pull the bench seat all the way forward, you can put one mat over the other and it fits fine.

I didn’t really need them and stumbled upon them by accident, but at £5.54 for 4 off of these tall tumblers I couldn’t scroll past them. Good old eBay, and that £5.54 included delivery. They are unmarked, like new :)

That's a great idea (nice colour, too :) )

And a LOT cheaper (and more easily washed) than the mats I've used to cover my 3-seater Beach's floor and rear seat (though they do give amazing protection against our doggo and are very kind to human knees and feet too!)

Thanks For great Idea. Bought 2 waiting delivery. I made mistake buying black carpet, hard to keep it clean. These will help to keep habitation area clean.

This wardrobe insert just arrived, I was eying the shelves, but those are semi-permanent and I sometimes need the entire wardrobe for larger items - this is best of both worlds as you can always collapse it when needed.

Did you manage to find or make a hanging rail?
