Just curious when this goes live at Euro tunnel?

The kit has been there in place for a while now yet nothing on their website?

I assume it’s going to be utter chaos for a few months?

I thought it was going live 12th of October.

BBC news site today

Eurotunnel, which runs vehicle shuttles through the Channel Tunnel, will also introduce EES in stages from 12 October.

Only Eurotunnel's coach passengers and freight will do the new checks to start with. They will be done by a border officer, so not much will change.

Tourists in cars will start using automated kiosks by the end of the year. The company hasn't given an exact date.

I’m guessing the first times a faff.
Once they have your bio-metrics it should be a much quicker process…???
Although, a few years of queues ahead.

Simon Calder has an excellent video on the implications of the new system as far as the French are concerned.

Onerous. Yes onerous is the right word here.

Just came through this morning and there were small differences. Machines verified your pass port, humans stamped the passport afterwards. No biometric tests yet.

According to the news they are introducing it slowly at Euro tunnel and if queues occur will lift the registration process. They have given it 6 months to online slowly.
