I have finally got round to finding out how the rear Aircon works in our T7 California Ocean. It has 3 zone climatronic air con. No matter what I try on the infotainment head unit I can't feel any air blowing from the rear roof vents or from under the floor.

I have the vents open and the Clima control shows that it should be synced with the front. It is not locked out. I am thinking there may be a setting in the California panel.

Am I missing something really obvious to turn it?

Can I assume you have hit the rear button on the Clima control?

Yes I did. I think it might be a PICNIC (Problem In Chair Not In California) problem.

I am away this weekend and sitting in the rear of the van. I noticed that I have been moving the vent wheel the wrong way as it seems counter intuitive to me. I have been fully closing the vents. I am driving tomorrow so I will see if air is flowing out them then.

I am pretty sure that some air was coming out the floor vent for AC lower down.

I have discovered that the rear passenger can control their climate zone via the control panel. They need to go in under the Air Con button. This can be locked out from the infotainment screen at the front if kids are in the back.

Can you hear the fan working in the rear. R side of boot.

Can't hear the fan and no air coming out the vents. Turning fan up to 7 makes no difference.I will have to book it in to be looked at.

I have a T7 Beach (without the 3 Zone Climatic control) and I have a similar issue. On the Infotainment system the graphics show air coming from under the front seat/side vents in the roof depending on which button is pressed, the only blowers that appear to be working are the low level central and off side rear. Can anyone with the same spec Beach check to see if theirs is the same before I contact VW. IMG_2712.JPGIMG_2713.JPG

Search for thread “ WARNING. THINKING OF NOT SPECIFYING THE 3 ZONE CLIMATIC ?

Yes, I was reading the thread but there isn’t any mention of the roof grills, or the near side vents not working. Previously I’ve had a caravelle and there is a motorised flap that directs the air into the roof from the rear blower, I’m just wondering if mine has failed.

I can’t help you there, i have an ocean, try asking the original poster of the thread as he has a beach.

No roof flaps in rear.
None.
Only 2 vents in the lower back quarters.
The one behind driver (RHD) blows whatever temp air is in, in.
The one behind passenger side blows the diesel heater air. (Warm & hot, but never cold)
