I'll take that back ....3As have one and they have just dropped the price by £27kSome but not all.... Hymer Venture S still at an arm and a leg.
I'm not sure I will ever be able to afford another van. If my 2008 Cali lasts another 16 years it will get me to 70 yrs old. Probably wont be vanning at that point.
Seen price drop on Autotrader one brand new just under 200k. Go for it you know you want oneSome but not all.... Hymer Venture S still at an arm and a leg.
This mirrors my own findings. I can't help wondering how many are using the T7 as a 'daily driver' due to the sunstantial (30 cms or so) overhang on car park spaces.I’ve been keeping an eye on used prices for 2024 T6.1 Oceans and new prices for T7 Oceans. We are buying in October/November and deciding between these two options. I’ve noticed used T6.1 prices are holding up well, especially for the rare 4 Motion models, which still go for £75k to £80k for a 12-18 month old model with under 10k miles. However, I’ve also noticed a lot more T7s advertised on Autotrader with discounts, which seem to be growing as the year goes on. By the time we come to buy it looks like there will be very little difference in price between a decent low mileage used 1 year old T6.1 and a brand new T7.
For those that care about finance I got a mail saying they are now offering 0% on any California https://www.swanswaygarages.com/cars/volkswagen-vans-hp/?title=Order your California eHybrid today &utm_source=marketingdelivery&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=liverpool vwcv - california 0% apr - sales&utm_content=secure your 0% apr deal
Very nice if you have a spare 50% of purchase price to put down as a deposit.Seems they’re offering 4 years 0% finance across the whole new Cali range. A no brainer for anyone who’s ordering. Blimey…

Think you'll be waiting a long time . The T7 diesel and petrol will cease by 2030, the Hybrid might continue for a while.Good discount deal if the T7 suits your needs, think we’ll just wait till they ‘correct their mistakes’ and the T7.1 comes around .
Any update after the August rental? It’s a bit of a dilemna for buyers like us. I see pros and cons of both vehicles. My wife and I plan some longer European road trips and storage space in the T7 is a concern. Having said that, by packing light, which we tend to do anyway, and perhaps leaving the rear seat nearest the kitchen at home we think it would be good. With the discounts available the T7 is definitely coming out ahead of the T6.1 in our thinking. We also haven’t ruled out a conversion although they seem to be generally more £££ than a T7 these days. We are renting a T7 in August and will go to October NEC show then make a final decision/order whatever we decide to go with immediately after that.

I took a coast out on test drive at the weekend (we're going to get a Beach) and spent most of the time trying it out in retail park carparks, etc to see how much of a problem it is! Generally it seemed fine and certainly didn't stick out any more than the many badly parked massive Range Rovers etc also in the car parksThis mirrors my own findings. I can't help wondering how many are using the T7 as a 'daily driver' due to the sunstantial (30 cms or so) overhang on car park spaces.
Which in and of itself poses no real issue, however in the age of militant Traffic Wardens on a bonus scheme that incentivises ANY infringement of the regulated usual 4.8m size parking bays, I do wonder just how much of a problem the extra length will cause when used as a daily driver.I took a coast out on test drive at the weekend (we're going to get a Beach) and spent most of the time trying it out in retail park carparks, etc to see how much of a problem it is! Congratulations! I was seriously considering doing the same. The PHEV and the split rear seats (so that I can travel with a bike in the back) were pushing me this way over a 6.1 but the talk of high car tax, questionable residuals and reliability issues like the battery drain fiasco have been putting me off. I'm sure yoou must have gone through the same process(?). What convinced you it was the right solution for you?
Thanks for these posts - I missed them yesterday. I'm with you! I had a JFDI moment on Wednesday, drove the 90 miles down to Breeze, had a test drive in a PHEV and ended up financing the used (3 month old, 500 miles) white over dark blue Ocean that I did the test drive in! Signed all the paperwork online yesterday so hoping to get the call today to say that I can collect it on Monday. I agree with you - sometimes you have to give the 'analysis paralysis' a break and just do it!One additional point is that I made sure I ordered through a very reputable dealer (Breeze) so I know any potential issues will be resolved with good customer service.

I shall let you know! Word of warning. Some Insurance companies refuse cover if a vehicle is wrapped as it makes body repairs more expensive as the colour cannot be matched so the whole wrap has to be removed and a new wrap applied.Congrats, sounds great! I agree with the analysis paralysis. Its a big purchase so tyre kicking is natural, but in the end life is short and you just have to go for it.
We were a bit stuck on colour. I like red, while my wife likes simple candy white with black wheels. We both like two tone but my wife said its a shame they don’t do a green and white two tone any more. So we ordered the cheapest candy white option and will likely get the bottom half wrapped in a dark green. Options we added were electric towbar, mudflaps, power sliding rear doors, extra keys, advanced parking, artvelours, 18 inch glossy black toshima wheels.
