Hi all, I've just successfully installed a faulty parking sensor with one issue, the metallic silver colour that the sensor is treated with doesn't match the bodywork, thought it'd be ok but it stands out like a sore thumb! My questions are these: Where is the best place to go to in the vehicle paperwork to discover the exact paint colour that I have (its a 2011 Cali SE 180 in what I would describe as a darker 'gunmetal grey' but I know it is not called this! Also once I've discovered the correct colour can anyone recommend the best place to source a small 'test pot' of the paint? Many thanks in advance!

any decent paintshop / paint supplier should be able to match the paint from a sample part, it would then be would they do a small test pot size for you i guess. is thew paint code stamped on any of the body id plates?

Iäve used compnaies like this and the results have always been great. Just plug your model and year and they will provide the relevant paint info.
Mask off the area and lightly spray a few coats. The key here is less is more. Final spray of clear top coat if you really want perfection.
For such a small area I would not bother with a bodyshop.

Options sticker in Handbook/ Log book, Drivers seat base in front, Bottom of Dash Drivers side, should give colour code. Also under bonnet on L side front.

The silver color is one of the hardest colors to match.
You can have the color code, but you need the rest of the van to match the shade. You can ask 10 different body shops to make one specific color with the color code, and you will have 10 different shades of that same color.
The best is to take your van to the body shop so they can analyze your specific color.
