Moka Pot coffee (I’ve gone full nerd!)

I keep things simple, it’s easy to go nuts with all this stuff :)

In the Cali: 3 cup Moka pot, Timemore C3ESP pro grinder
Home: 25 year old Gaggia Cubika Plus, Dualit grinder

I enjoy the ritual with making coffee so the hand grinder is used mostly, in the van or at home.

Today's breakfast coffee. Both are electric, one very old and one new. It is nice now to be able to haveView attachment 140488 hot milk with my coffee. It was raining but the awning was out so breakfast outside.
Is that a heated base for a std French press (alloy) ?

it is one of these, mine is about 20 years old.

Moka Elettrika

the amazon one says 2 cups, very small I only get one.

The Bialetti CD Milk Frother MK01 MK01-electric, 500 W, says 1 Cups but it is more milk than the coffee from my moka.

I saw your van. And I know the mukry secret as to why you sold me the tyre table.

It was to make room for your ceramic burr grinder habit, wasn't it?
Utter nonsense, I’m very happy with my 1Zpresso K Plus grinder with 48mm stainless steel burrs. I needed the room for the Kaffelogic home roaster and the sack of single origin Ethiopian Yirgacheffe green beans

Ok not in the van but recently spent a few days sailing with my brother and this is what made the morning cappuccino:

Just remembered, we have a Nespresso aeroccino that’s now hardly used (since getting the Sage), and it’s only about 500W, so okay on EHU. Having easy made frothy milk would be THE BUSINESS ! Wonder if I could squeeze it in to a cupboard
From experience, definately worth finding a space for it in the van, both for the morning flat whites and then multiple frothy hot chocolates for the kids (obviously with marshmallows) after all the cold walks and beach activites. Something to quickly warm them up!

We have one on the van… it’s perfect

Love my Bialetti, I have 3 of them, two are the 6 cup version ( I bought a spare when I forgot about it and boiled one dry and melted the seal having just replaced the seal and was cleaning/testing for leaks with just water... doh!!) and one is the 12 cup which I use when making two or more mugs of coffee. I don't have milk in my coffee so make a strong black Americano, no fancy stuff, for one cup I just bung 3 scoops in the 6 cup version ( I have the glass Bialetti jar with scoop) fill with boiling water to cut down the time, when brewed, pour into a large mug or small thermos drinking flask I bring to work every day and top up with boiling water and add sugar. I use Lavazza Rossa ground coffee, very nice it is too and dead easy to make in a Cali :D

I got the Milk Frother as I found adding cold milk made my coffee too cold. I used to be able to drink coffee without milk but now I need the milk, maybe my age! Still go for cortado coffee in Spain. This is espresso "cut" with milk.

You may wondering why I just don't boil milk on a hob. I only cook with an induction hot in the van so need electric anyway and don't usually take a saucepan only a deep frying pan.
