Have looked at this Fanttik X9 portable tyre inflator a few times, wondering if I should buy one. It would allow me to always easily make sure the tyres are at the right pressure, wherever I am. Also useful for bikes, etc at home. They're not that expensive anymore, but wondering if I would really bring it along and use it. ANyoen own one or something similair?

I keep simular in van sits under drivers seat find it easy to use.

I have one exactly like this, just another brand but haven’t used it yet. It’s more a “in case there isn’t a gas station around” kind of thing for me.

I’m pretty sure patience is needed when inflating an almost flat.

I have a battery powered one in the car and a 12v one in the van... the one that plugs in with the van is superior and cheaper

We have a 12V one that we use in our off road travels to re-adjust the tyre pressure after lowering according to road conditions (pebbles, gravel, dirt, sand). Works great. Never used a battery-powered one.
Taking the pressure off a tyre with a jack as suggested above, before (re-)inflating, is good practice!

I still make do with a Foot Pump :)
I also use a foot pump. However, I’ve just bought this for when we’re in ‘travel mode’.
IMG_1517.jpegWhen used in conjunction with a petrol station / tyre inflation station, it provides me convenience with hopefully a little greater accuracy, something I’ve worried about previously.

The hi tech alternatives such as that above seem to be expensive overkill for most day to day needs. Yes, I want one!

I have always used my Makita one will my previous vans so it’s now always in the box for the Cali.

I managed to squeeze the ARB compressor I had on my old Landy under the bonnet. Works a treat, can air up from around 22 PSI to 50 on all 4 tyres in about 15 mins without it over heating.

We have a 12v compressor that car makers provide when they can’t be bothered to install a spare tyre. I tried to use it once, and as a result we ALWAYS carry a good old foot pump. It took longer to unravel the metres of cable from the unit, and then carefully wind it up again than pumping up a tyre from flat! And the unit didn’t inflate from 35psi to 45psi in 10 minutes, so I gave up.

I have tjis USB-C rechargeable one which I keep in the box with charging cable. It has a digital dash and buttons to set the BAR or PSI and cost around £18 from Amazon:
