Quick trip to Skagen in Denmark next week. Ferry Harwich to Hook of Holland overnight then Day1 to Hamburg and Day 2 to Skagen, about 600 miles total.
SWMBO is interested in art and so visiting the Skagen Art Museum.

I can recommend both ARoS Museum and Moesgaard Museum, Aarhus if you get time.

Another fantastic place to visit in Denmark is Ribe, worth a visit on the way back.

Thanks for the suggestions but this time it will just be Skagen although we will be visiting Grenen .

That’s one heck of a drive for a couple of days. SWMBO is a very lucky lady indeed.
We will hopefully hit Skagen next June to coincide with the tall ships at Aarhus, though I suspect I’ll allow a couple more days to reach ‘the top’.
Good luck :thumb

Now in Hamburg. The road works surrounding the new Tunnels at Hamburg have improved since my last visit, very little delay although there were queues going south through the road works.

Now in Skagen. A faultless drive North on the E45. Traffic gradually lessened as we drove up the Jutland Peninsular . 560km in 6 hrs with 4 coffee stops. Numerous roadworks but no stops just speed restriction to 90 or 80 kph. Hotel right next to a working harbour, deep sea fishing vessels and the HDMS Gunnar Thorson in dry Dock for refurbishment and paint job.

Nice. You’ve made good time.
It was avery relaxing drive. Even though most of it was just 2 lanes, everyone keeps to the R unless overtaking and HGVs to the R except on certain 3 Lane sections normally uphill.
