Hi we are thinking about a Northern Ireland / Donegal trip - any recommendations for a nice site within easy reach of Belfast for our first stop? Thanks

Loughshore caravan park. Either pay to use the site or park up the road free. Walk to the station at jordanstown and train into the city. Great spot. I think they email you a gate code to get in when you turn up

For Donegal this is a gem practically on the beach.

Camping – Rosguill Holiday Park

We stayed at Loughshore in Jordanstown earlier this year (early April). You can get the train (about 20 minutes walk) or the bus (5 minutes walk) into Belfast. I’d advise you to book. Even in early April the site was full.

We did the same trip you seem to be doing.
