Has anyone made their own mosquito net for the side sliding door?

I know you can buy them, but they are pretty expensive at £130

We have two dogs who are always in and out and likely to destroy it on its first outing anyway.

Thought I might have an go at making one and looking for ideas.

The Busboxx one is 99 euro. Its held in place with magnets so not easy to destroy as it will just detach if assaulted by unruly dogs.

You could use one of these cut down.

This one is not that bad and cheap
Haha! I was about to suggest the same item but delivered from Spain for €37.

Is it any good? I might get one myself.

I was worried about that with our dog but he didn’t destroy it yet.

Biggest issue was shutting the door with the net in place. very glad I had softclose.

The nett on the rear door is also good and allows a bit of airflow when you activate the cooling function of the heater.

Also remember that northern mosquitoes are smaller than southern ones and you need a finer netting.

And those 12v led mosquito killer lamps work well as a second line of defence.

You can get a good one from Temu from £10 upwards

These are the ones, including the one in the back from the same brand. The one in the back has a slight issue. It’s a bit tight and the magnets from half way down to below don’t do much as my T5 is plastic…

I used this generic one from carbest

It sat on the dash top and their were a few bodies on wire fence by the end of our holiday.

It lasts about 4-5 nights on a charge, survived being dropped, the light is quiet dull and didn’t disturb me at night. Only down sides is it runs on a micro usb which is slightly annoying as it needed its own charge cable.

There are lots of alternatives, I think any of these things are ok.

I didn’t use the night light function which illuminates that dome.

I have 2 of those and they work OK. Not foolproof but appear to work based on the corpses. I use the light at the lowest setting for mood lighting at night.

I got this from Amazon for my Ocean 6.1. Works very well and if you fix it in place carefully you can leave it on when closing the door. Slight issue with mine - the entrance has magnets on the left side and a string of metal beads on a thread on the right. The thread hadn't been fixed at the top so that the beads gradually slipped down meaning it wouldn't close at the top. Easily fixed though, even with my rudimentary sewing skills!

I have the same with the same issue at the top. Maybe it’s not a bug but a feature ;-)
