Thank you; that’s very informative and the review was only made last year so pretty current
Thank you so much for this information it is very helpful. I feel reassured that we can be in situ for early check inJust go to the Brittany ferry departure lanes , the area is open 24/7,
park up for the night (walk into town / harbour ) in the morning you'll get a tap on your window when The BF staff want you to get ready to board etc.
There is an area on the other side, toilets open 24/7, you can stay in front of a cafe, you can pay to stay there, but there is no need.
lots of people arrive all through the night.
See attached mark up the route across the bridge into the ferry terminal lanes. Park up in a lane before the passport control booths.
The toilets are the small building to the left, with a brown pitch roof roughly in line with the passport booths (middle of the hard stand left in the picture)
Edit second picture red arrow = toilets , you can clearly see the departure lanes and the passport booths

Just check the BF website - I'm not sure they actually charge as that would mean they need a payment method and someone to be there overnight to clock you in and take payment & provide receipt for payment etcThank you so much for this information it is very helpful. Thank you so much for your research and the time you spent on this matter. Very kind of youJust check the BF website - I'm not sure they actually charge as that would mean they need a payment method and someone to be there overnight to clock you in and take payment & provide receipt for payment etc
Note no port facilities are open overnight , again not sure that is true, as far as toilets.
Pretty sure if you arrive evening there'd be no staff and therefore no issues. That looks like corporate BS to discourage crowds

Interesting to see this option, I have arrived the night before and queued up, I must confess I have never paid, but with cameras everywhere I suspect it’s only a matter of time before I get a bill.Just check the BF website - I'm not sure they actually charge as that would mean they need a payment method and someone to be there overnight to clock you in and take payment & provide receipt for payment etc

I think that is what BF woukd like to happen in an ideal world, the reality is no one from U.K. will be working at the port check in lanes overnightInteresting to see this option, I have arrived the night before and queued up, I must confess I have never paid, but with cameras everywhere I suspect it’s only a matter of time before I get a bill.
