Hi,

I'm booked on Portsmouth to Santander tomorrow night Monday 26th May.

Unfortunately today, I've gained three orange warnings lights: ESC, ABS and Tyre pressure.

(checked tyre pressure and reset, but warning returned and is persistent)

Any thoughts to share? Carry on and sort it out when I get back? Cancel booking and get it sorted?

Only just had it serviced by VW for the trip. Not happy.

Regards,

That's an abs sensor failed. Common fault. Quick fix is change 1 abs sensor at a time and drive . Once the faulty sensor is swapped out the 3 lights will go out. In theory you only need to buy 1 sensor and keep swapping them out until it clears. Another way is to get diagnostic to tell you which one it is and change it. The van Is OK to drive but be aware abs won't work.
You can fix that in the morning if your good with a spanner.
I would continue the trip.
Edit. Make sure you use a genuine abs sensor!!!!

Thanks for that, I suspected something like that. VW Assist/AA are on the way. Problem is bank holiday - parts availability. I suspect I'll have to delay start of trip.

(ps. AA reckons it's rear right, signal, probably ABS ring, no need to cancel, might even get ring and sensor checked and fixed in Spain).

Sorry for troubles before your trip.... and.... so on the T7 Ocean this is already a common fault? How many T7s are out there in the UK?

I’m in the same boat as you only with a T6. Hopefully an ABS sensor and will be getting sorted in June sometime.

Had the 3 lights on. Both my rear sensors snapped off in the hub . Vw wanted £105 each for the sensors. Sourced some apec ones. £35 each. Swapped both rears. Faults cleared. To get the broken bit out, drill down and fit a self tapper. Then use a claw hammer to pull it out.
I ha e the vw part numbers for the rears if anyone needs. They are left and right handed.

Had to change my rear sensors more than once but hadn't heard of them snapping. You been testing out your rear shocks FB?
