Are prices due to crash?

Apart from the smaller Claytons, lack of digi dash, chrome bumper cover and loss of fog lights - are there any other differences to an Ocean? I ask as I'm close to pulling the trigger on a new Surf with the 5 Year promise deal at under £60k.

Indeed. My thinking was around £48-49k given the stale market, time of year and higher mileage etc. Thanks for input.

Personally think £50k is a barrier for T6.1’s and probably a fair price.

Nice T6’s were selling close to £50k last year.

Traders are listing T6.1’s for £57k so private has to be £50k /low £50’s in my mind.

Demand has fallen because prices have risen so dramatically over the last 5 years.
Why?
It’s the additional technology put into cars, that nobody asked for….
Call me old fashioned, I want dials and switches and the ability to drive the vehicle for myself.

Once you’ve spent a few weeks with ISA, ELKS or AEB, (don’t worry they’re nothing medically concerning) you’ll soon understand the utter frustration of new vehicles bought in the last few months….

I think my MY22 has AEB - it’s slammed the brakes on at least twice in 2 years. One when a truck didn’t check his mirror on the motorway and pulled in on me - honestly saved my bacon. Another reversing. Wouldn’t have been a catastrophe but may well have saved a collision. I think I’m ok with AEB.
I don’t like the sound of ISA though…! Can you turn it off?

I'd agree about just buying one - still fair to try and work out what the supply/demand price is at any given time - it is not easy as numbers sold are relatively low.

You can, every time you get in the vehicle.
The BMW I had last week, you had to navigate the menu to disable…

Pretty sure this is because it’s law it has to be on by default every time you start the car.

Still - its a 2016 on a 66 plate T6 Ocean for £32k from a dealer. 95k miles.

If there is nothing wrong with it, it seems a real bargain even at the mileage.

Blackberry....when we bought the dealer pushed that colour.....its was " no". That said good price but I would got halves on a compression test and or check service history.

Lovely colour, beats primer grey anyday. it's done 10k miles every year & only had one MoT fail & that was on headlamp aim.
Unless there's some hidden history it looks like the perfect secondhand buy.

I think you would find the list price was a little higher in 2016. I paid £55k for my 2014 180 4Motion in 2014, with a good discount.

No, you’re not the only one. It’s 9 years old with nearly 100K miles. Anything could go bang. Even the general stuff like brakes / suspension / cam belt / tyres / sensors etc will cost a fair few quid. I’d rather use that as the deposit on a new one (still a few left) at 0% over 5 years with the 5 year warranty and servicing etc. No surprises. When all is said and done I doubt there’s much in the overall total cost of ownership over 5 years, with a lot more peace of mind. Then you’d have a 5 year old van rather than a 14 year old.

I totally concur. I've been watching recent prices with interest, and am seriously impressed at the pre-registered but brand new Oceans with the 5 year promise for around £65k, and also the brand new unregistered Surf's (with LED headlamps) at under £60k, with the same 5 year promise.

Peace of mind is paramount when investing so much.

Seems that in Transporter world 95k miles isn’t really considered as being an issue.

In California world 95k miles some would consider its past its useful life.
