After much deliberation we have chopped in our regular car and invested in a Cali Ocean much to the horror of our daughter who is going to be 'super embarrased' when we run her around in it (if only she knew!).
Bit of a wait; they are suggesting March 2023 delivery atm, but that gives us plenty of time to drain the online and Youtube resources and videos on how to.

When you get round to pre-buying your accessories (everyone does it) it’s worth looking at the club membership discounts available - easy to save the VIP member fee!

Hi congratulations, We have had ours now for 5 weeks and LOVE every minute of it ! Beach days,camping, mountain biking , gives us all the versatility and ease we need !! She will love it !!!

We ordered our Cali Ocean mid March 2022 also, and now playing the waiting game followed by the lack of updates on production from VW.
In the meantime thought it best to join the group and listen to the tips from the experienced owners.

Pre order accessories...us.....never....Well maybe just a few bits. Thinking this is going to be quite a pricey hobby! But great fun.

Did the same; can’t keep all the cars and was the deal I made with myself: buy a new california (we have a 31 year old T4 westfalia california) and use it also as a daily driver.
Got it a week now today and all works fine. And our kids love sitting in it. First day we had it, our 7year old daughter choose walking to school so that I could pick her up with the cali after school. She showed some features to girlfriends (who apparently never saw something like it).
Drives smooth (150hp dsg) for my commuting to work and I am convinced that our travels will be much more comfortable and hopefully we will get a nostalgic touch in it as with our old faithful westfalia.
Congratulations and good luck also with the waiting period; ours was 20 months for the right one to arrive. But when it arrives, man you will be happy! (Look at my face )
