Fridge basket

Do you all have a basket in your fridge? Ours has nothing. Previous owner has placed a platform at the bottom to raise items from the bottom where the moisture can collect.

The basket was standard on the SE and still is on the Coast/Ocean.
If you did not got it when you got the Cali 2nd hand , ask the prev. owner if he still got it ...

Yes we use the basket regularly for butter and jam and other little things. We also use the items from the Netherlands Campershop

How the heck does the basket come out? There must be a knack that I haven't fathomed.

Lift the basket a little bit and then pull it to you and then you should be able to lift it completely. The basket fits only in one direction!

Actually, it “fits” both ways round, but can’t lift out past the lid if it’s installed the wrong way, as ours was.
I’m so glad I came here looking for help.

We found that you can get a lot more in the fridge without the basket!

Our 2023 Cali Ocean T6.1 came with a fridge basket. Thanks for the tip about getting it the right way round as can be a bit awkward to get it in & out.
Take the point about the slight loss of space by having a basket but we prefer that it provides a useful divider.
Same issue arises with the trivet. Slight loss of fridge volume but keeps the collected moisture off the food items.
