While we love our Cali there has been a number of issues with the electronic sliding door resolved to some degree and I was hoping others may be able to help, especially as the agency keeps telling us nothing is wrong like we are mad.

1. First the door had issues not opening / closing properly. It is electronic annoyingly. This seems to be resolved.
2. We seem to have an odd clicking noise with the lock. Which is not continuous and can go months with no noise and then will not stop. It sounds like the noise you get in taxis when the doors lock and unlock as the taxi stop / starts. Only we are not stop starting. This remains unresolved.
3. The wheel arch has been scratched by the sliding door. Company said this is not possible and there is a 6mm gap. Also oddly the scratches go down not length ways. Has anyone else had this and can you share pics?

Any help right now to rescue our sanity?

Others have had similar problems including damage to the real panel.
Which Dealership are you using? Are they a California Specialist?
Have you checked the Dealership Review section of the Forum to find a good Dealer close to you that specialises in the California?

Bought at Liverpool Van centre, and has been in several times. Rather annoyingly. It is a commercial van set up. Will check for specialists nearby.

Welcome on your first post(s) , is it the electric soft closure just the last bit ?
Or do you got the fully electric closing door ?( press button to close)

I think those fully automatic ones are a pain in the @ss , glad i don't got it.

Pretty sure there are existing treads on that kind of trouble , try doing some searching and reading in older posts you might come up with some info

Hi Mike. We seem to have the same issue as point 2 in your original post. Did you manage to resolve it at all?? Ours has now got worse in that it also shows on the dash as the door is opening / closing every couple of minutes. It's driving us mad!!
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Katrina - Mike hasn’t been on since 2016, he left a week after posting this. If you look at the similar threads below one of them should help.

Thanks for letting me know Dave. I've read though all the forum threads (I wish I'd read all of those before I got an electric one! ;) ), but Mike's seemed to be the only one that has this constant locking / unlocking issue.
I've put a new thread on to see if anyone can help, fingers crossed. The van centre are also at a loss with it!
