Broken trim track - roof access

Can anybody help - the drivers side roof access concertina track is broken and a VW replacement is a ridiculous price even with the clubs 10% discount. The track is in two parts near side and drivers side. Does anybody know of a non OEM replacement supplier or a breakers yard which specialises in Cali's? Thanks

Thanks - they buy this particular part from VW and do not stock - cheers

If you are having roof blistering repaired they replace this part. May be worth waiting ?

Yes the roof is being repaired under warranty, buy they do not replace this internal trim track. Thanks for your response anyway.

They replaced it on my cali when the did the front panel above screen.

OK - thanks - I'll try to persuade them !! - I am 125th (12 months waiting) to have my roof corrosion sorted at Shorades'

My cali was do e at shorade. Asked them for price to fit new one to be told that is replaced as part of front panel replacement process. No persuasion needed.

Last I heard they were fixing 2 a month, by my numerically challenged brain your wait will be over 5 years!

I've seen this repaired pretty well with good old duck tape - if placed on the upper side of the door its invisible from down stairs - certainly worth a try for the short term!
